Announcing some super exciting news! My oh so awesome boss is opening a boutique/sewing studio next to the salon in 5 Points South!!! Squeeeee! Be sure to check the Serge Facebook page and click the 'Like' button. You won't be sorry!
I am so excited(nervous) about teaching! The number for Serge is at the bottom of the class description. If you have any questions before you register feel free to email at firstname.lastname@example.org or you can ask in the comment section on here. Serge will also be offering a Beginner Apparel class that is 4 weeks long. Be sure to check that out as well!
I will be teaching a beginner quilting class starting in March. Here's a lil' more about it :)
Beginning Quilting (hand quilting)
Sundays March 4, 11, 18, 25, and April 1
Class Fee: $175 (fabric not included)
Make your first quilt from start to finish in the 5 week course! In this class you will learn rotary cutting, strip piecing techniques, hand quilting, and binding. The finished piece will make a perfect throw size quilt and/or child's quilt.
If you own a sewing machine, please bring it to class. We have a limited number of machines available to rent for an additional $10 each session. Please let us know when register for the class if you need to rent one.
1/2 yard of 5 coordinating cotton fabrics for blocks and binding
1 yard of cotton fabric for border on front (should coordinate with the block fabric)
3 yards cotton batting (I suggest low loft)
3 yards cotton for back of quilt
There is limited space available in the class so register soon before space runs out! To register please call Serge: Sewing Shop at 1-205-901-5115 during normal business hours.
